Dylan Langan – MA, BMus, BEd (in-progress) is the owner and operator of Queen Street Music School. He is the Founder and Director of Fuse. Langan has previously served as Music Director of the Guelph Youth Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Conductor of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, and Conducting Intern at Opera on the Avalon.
Through Fuse, Langan has bolstered the arts in the Waterloo Region, Ontario through innovative and more connective methods of presentation. Fuse regularly promotes and supports Canadian artists of all disciplines. Fuse also prides itself on providing community members with the opportunity to learn the craft and be part of Fuse productions. This season alone, Langan has created development opportunities for over 100 arts-oriented individuals.
As a composer of music, Langan has released 6 albums and written 10 operas. He is best known for Rise of the Roaches and Dracula. Other compositions include two symphonies, and over 200 songs spanning across genres such as metal, rock, pop, funk, electronic, and classical. Langan has performed across Canada and internationally as a baritone in a variety of operatic and oratorio roles.
Langan is a recipient of the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers, the Bernice Adams Memorial Award, the William Thompson Scholarship, and the Merriam School of Music Award. He holds a Master’s Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
