Queen Street Music School, a school known for community outreach in the city of Cambridge, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

In 2010, Richard and Valerie Labbe and family packed up their house and moved to a century home on Queen Street West in Hespeler, Ontario where the main floor became Queen Street Music. Richard, a lifelong musician and instructor, had left his job in technical sales to pursue what he loved most. With the help of friends, family and students, the school was soon participating in community events, seniors residences, and festivals. Teachers and students increased and Queen Street Music quickly outgrew that location and the business and family moved to the present home at 27 Queen Street East in downtown Hespeler Village.

Owner, Richard Labbe, remarked “We have been so fortunate to be able to influence positive and meaningful experiences, which are evident in the young adults that grew up with Queen Street Music who are now engaged members of their communities. The school has welcomed an amazing group of families along with caring and motivating instructors.” Students can learn a variety of music including pop, rock, broadway and classical music. Royal Conservatory training and exams can also be a focus if desired.

Normally, the school would celebrate with an Open House but obviously this September we will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary and marking the occasion with photos and testimonials on social media at:
